What is the exam pattern for SSC CHSL 2018 Exam?
Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam for undergraduates. It is conducted in three levels.

SSC CHSL 2017 Exam is scheduled to be held in the month of March 2018, tentative dates for the exam as per the notification will start from 4.3.2018. Hope most of the aspirants of SSC CHSL must have started studying or going to complete the syllabus soon. Since the exam is approaching soon, it is better to update yourself with some important features of SSC CHSL Exam pattern 2018 such as:
- SSC CHSL 2018 Tier I will be held online, therefore one must practice mock test by joining SSC CHSL online test series to get real exam experience.
- There will be a descriptive paper of 100 marks to be attempted in 60 minutes. It will be in pen and paper mode. This is one of the big challenges in SSC CHSL 2018 Exam as it requires perfect linguistic skills to ace this Tier.
- There is reduction in time limit in tier I exam from 120 minutes to 75 minutes. It needs good speed synchronized with accuracy. Speed and accuracy are the soul mates of competitive exams; therefore these skills should be enhanced every time you are going to appear for any competitive exam.
- Tier III will remain the same. This tier is for those who have opted for the skill test oriented posts while applying for SSC CHSL 2018 exam in the month of December 2017.
- There is no sectional cut-off; rather it will have negative marking for every mistake from the overall score. It is highly recommended to give a second thought before marking the final answer in Tier I.
